Over the last few years the city got a lot of places of entertainment – various cafes, restaurants, bars, night-clubs. They suggest a large variety of things.

If you want to have a nice meal in a cozy atmosphere – there are several restaurants in the city. Among them “Korchma” ranks first. This is the restaurant built in a traditional Ukrainian way – with all the attributes that are typical of the old Ukrainian bar place. Another restaurant of the similar kind is situated on the highway to Kiev, and is not far from the city of Zhitomir. “Filvarok” is the complex of restaurant, hotel, sauna. A two-storey wooden building takes you into the atmosphere of the Ukrainian estate. In the city area there is one more place to provide you with good and exquisite food – the place with Uzbek cuisine called “Ertak”. In translation the word “ertak” means “fairy-tale”. If you decide to go to this restaurant – you’ll feel like in a fairy-tale – lots of greens around, fairy-tales heroes and excellent service.

For the rendezvous you can choose to go to “Anna” restaurant. The place almost in the centre of the city will give you the feeling of comfort and coziness. Decorated in the manner of the hunting house it gives you the feeling of staying far away from the busy city and the crowds. Zhitomir is not a big city, and it does not take much time to get anywhere you want. Down to the bridge from the city centre there is the Turkish restaurant with the national cuisine. The place is very cozy and not spacey. It creates the atmosphere of a family place - several tables, candles, local music and tasty dishes of one of exotic cuisines of the Mediterranean.
